After the completion of the 17th Lok Sabha election, if one eye is put on the whole process, then the fact can not be denied that efforts have been made to the extreme extent for the destruction of its political opponent in these elections. Since independence, till now, those who have seen 10 general elections will accept that there has never been such a fall of electoral politics.

Some positive aspects also came out in the entire election process. (1) The percentage of voting is approximately 67.11. (2) No incident like booth capturing happened. (3) There is no evidence of the failure of any material in electronic voting machine technology.

But to evaluate democracy on these scales, to lower its level. The special thing is to consider the corruption that has entered into the soul of democracy, which affects every citizen.

But to evaluate democracy on these scales, to lower its level. The special thing is to consider the corruption that has entered into the soul of democracy, which affects every citizen.

  • The first question arises that after all these general elections, what impact will be on India’s future?
  1. The incidents of Parliament’s closure of Parliament by the opposition for the past have become commonplace and there is a possibility of increase in this. There is no such hope that political parties will follow the country above their political interests.
  2. Indian foreign policy has always been defensive except for two exceptions. In view of the current perspective, Pakistan’s slyness and China’s increasing militarization requires an outspoken foreign policy. In order to face these situations, the government and the opposition will have to move together.
  3. The economy may have to face adverse situations.
  • Consumption of consumer demand is coming down.
  • The crisis of rural economy is increasing.
  • Foreign and domestic investment is being affected by manipulation of the balance sheet.
  • The disorder is spread in the banking sector.

It depends on the government that it makes arrangements for land and labor reform law, unproductive subsidies, attracting foreign investment, private investment and production and service in business. Governmental steps taken before elections and elections are taken after seeing the near term benefits, which have opacity. But the government will now have to create transparent policies for long-term benefits.

4.The choice of elections was kept emotional rather than logical. It seems that every social issue has also been seen from the perspective of political ideology.

In the history of our progressive ideas, the constitutional aspirations of equality and freedom have been pushed towards social backwardness. Social reform can be accomplished where creative exchange of meaningful debates and modern ideas can be achieved. Therefore, this tendency should be turned towards constitutional rights at the earliest.

5.Democracy should revolve around the control and balance of autonomous institutions like the judiciary, the Election Commission and the independent media. In view of these elections, the power of the major institutions of the country has come very much. The lack of polarization and fairness of the media has worsened the situation.

  • The second question arises in these references that is our future absolutely insecure?

The ray of hope always exists. Conditions can be handled by the spirit of our readiness and responsibility.

  1. This is the best time for the community, civil society, when taking responsibility and playing an active role in improving the situation. There is a need to ward off democratic partnership for the protection of national interests.
  2. For the proper functioning of Parliament and the Legislative Assemblies, the entities associated with it will have to make a demand, and make pressure. A group of citizens can be prepared for this, which will monitor the activities of elected representatives.
  3. The industry and business world will have to prioritize national interests by rising above their mean profits.
  4. Social committees have a major role in social conversion in India. Parliament can only make laws. The responsibility of adhering to him is as much as the judiciary, the same as the active and awakened citizens.
  5. The public should also raise voice for the integrity and independence of autonomous institutions. The mass movement has immense power. If needed, then just be responsible for responsible behavior.

These social pressures can also lead to a change in the political class. There is no doubt in this fact that the presence of organized and active civil society can become a cause of great transformation for the country.
